Kenya's efforts to keep out al-Shabab

Somalia's Islamist al-Shabab militants are recruiting heavily in north-eastern Kenya, according to evidence gathered by the BBC.

Two weeks ago, al-Shabab militants killed nearly 150 people at Kenya's Garissa University.

The Kenyan government is now offering a 10-day amnesty for any new recruits to the group to give themselves up.

The BBC's East Africa Correspondent Karen Allen reports.
