Mugabe warns of economic struggle in National Heroes Day speech

Zimbabwe's President, Robert Mugabe, warned about economic struggle as he spoke at the National Heroes Day parade, which commemorates the liberation war against Rhodesian white-minority rule which led to independence in 1980.

The country's economy has been in a downward spiral for more than a decade, which forces many of its people to seek alternative incomes.

BBC Africa correspondent Alastair Leithead reports from the capital Harare.
