'I'm Zambian with my friends, Chinese at home'

The Chinese presence across Africa is hard to miss, and with billions more dollars in Chinese financial assistance expected to be announced at a major summit in Johannesburg this week, that is only likely to grow.

Many of the older generation Chinese moved to Africa with big state corporations and kept themselves to themselves. But the children of that first wave of immigrants are beginning to put down roots, learn the local language and blend in.

Lu Cheng's family moved to Zambia when her father decided it would be a good for his chicken feed business. She now considers herself to be almost as much an African as she is Chinese.

BBC News went to meet Lu Cheng, her father, Lu Jin and mother, Han Dong Mai.
