Burundi leader 'will talk to opposition'

Burundi's President Pierre Nkurunziza has agreed a series of steps to help end the country's 10-month political crisis, in which more than 400 people have been killed and an estimated quarter of a million people have fled the country.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who met Mr Nkurunziza on Tuesday, welcomed the president's pledge to hold talks, release 2,000 political prisoners and lift certain media restrictions.
