Madonsela: People aware of 'corruption as a cancer'

As South Africa's one woman anti-corruption crusader steps down after seven years in the job, Thuli Madonsela says she fears corruption has worsened on President Jacob Zuma's watch.

But what was positive, she said, was that people are more aware of "corruption as a cancer".

She was speaking as publication of her final report into the alleged influence of wealthy businessman friends of Mr Zuma into affairs of state was put on hold, after a last minute legal intervention.
