Gambia election: Exiled man to return after 26 years
Yahya Jammeh, Gambia's authoritarian president, has suffered a surprise defeat in presidential elections after 22 years in power.
Mbye Njie has been living in the United States since 1990 but has been unable to go home to Gambia for fear of political imprisonment under Jammeh's regime.
He gave BBC World Service Newshour's Owen Bennett-Jones his reaction to the result.
