Ethiopia's Lalibela struggles as war and Covid-19 keep tourists away
Ethiopia’s 17-month civil war has left thousands dead and millions in need of aid, but a humanitarian truce between the government and Tigrayan rebels has been hailed as an important step towards resolution.
But in the historic town of Lalibela, which is heavily reliant on tourism, the added impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has left many without livelihoods.
