Aung San Suu Kyi at party meeting as Burma reform welcomed
Burma's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi says she is in favour of her National League for Democracy party standing in the country's next by-elections.
She spoke to members at a meeting on Friday, where huge crowds had gathered, but she left without making any comment to the media.
At the Asean summit in Bali, the BBC's Karishma Vaswani said leaders from the region had joined US President Obama in welcoming signs of reform in Burma, while warning progress towards democracy must continue.
