North Korea: Funeral of Kim Jong-il begins

Ceremonies have begun in the North Korean capital Pyongyang to mark the start of the funeral services for the secretive country's leader Kim Jong-il.

North Koreans have been publicly grieving for their former leader, whose body has been lying in state since he died of a heart attack, ten days ago.

The BBC's Chris Rogers said many details of the two-day funeral had been kept secret.
