North Korea issues New Year message

North Korea has issued a New Year's message calling on its people to do more to feed their nation.

A joint editorial in state newspapers said food shortages were a burning issue. It also urged North Koreans to become human shields to defend their new leader, Kim Jong-un. Anne-Marie McNerney reports.
