Animals hosed down at zoo in Melbourne, Australia

As temperatures soared across many of the southern states of Australia, animals at Melbourne Zoo were given a hose down.

Staff handed out ice blocks to seals and offered spray downs to giant tortoises as the animals sweltered in 40C heat.
