Giant python attends weigh in after diet

A giant python named Atomic Betty, in Gosford, Australia has being forced to attend an annual weigh in.

After reaching 135 kilograms last year, zoo keepers decided she should go on a diet.

Atomic Betty can eat a goat in half an hour, and it takes her up to a week to digest it.

Whereas she would normally eat up to ten of the animals a year, she has now cut down to three or four and zoo keepers say they are satisfied with the results.

Theopi Skarlatos reports.
