Football helps Pakistani boys stay away from a life of crime

Known primarily for violent crime and drug-peddling, the neighbourhood of Lyari in Karachi is also a hotbed for footballing talent.

In a nation crazy for cricket, the neighbourhood boasts more than 100 football clubs, 11 football grounds and two stadiums.

The sport provides children a chance to dream of a life beyond the gangs.
