Afghan mission still 'on track', says Nato
The Nato mission in Afghanistan remains "on track" despite the killing of 29 people in the country over the past two days.
Seventeen civilians were killed by Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, reportedly for attending a party.
A Taliban attack on a checkpoint in Helmand resulted in the deaths of 10 Afghan army soldiers, while two foreign soldiers were shot dead by an Afghan National Army soldier.
Brigadier General Gunter Katz - a spokesperson for Isaf, the Nato-led security mission in Afghanistan - said the incidents "will not affect our operations".
