Ai Weiwei tax fine: China's legal system 'rotten'

Ai Weiwei has accused a Chinese court of being unreasonable and insulting after it rejected his second appeal against a tax evasion fine.

The Chinese dissident and artist said China's legal system was rotten, without impartiality or justice.

Tax authorities imposed a 15m yuan ($2.4m, £1.5m) fine on Mr Ai's firm for tax evasion in 2011.

Mr Ai, who says he remains unable to leave the country, claims the fine is politically motivated.
