'Political monk' on fears for Burma's future

A Burmese monk who served four-and-a-half years in prison for participating in anti-government protests has spoken of his fears for the future of his country.

Issariya was originally sentenced to 22 years for "inciting riots" and "tarnishing the image of the state". He was released in January 2012.

He told the BBC that he was "not very hopeful" for the future of Burma, and that the military was "still pulling the strings behind the scenes".
