Pakistan protest march reaches Islamabad

An influential religious scholar and some 20,000 of his supporters have reached Islamabad at the end of a "long march" demanding electoral reforms and a clean-up in Pakistani politics.

The government says Tahirul Qadri is simply trying to create political chaos ahead of the forthcoming elections, and thousands of security personnel have been deployed amid government warnings that militants may target the march.
