Kachin want political solution with Burmese government

Most of the fighting has centred around Laiza, where the Kachin state headquarters are based.

La Nan, spokesman for the Kachin Independence Organisation, told the BBC's Jonathan Head that they want serious political negotiations with the Burmese government.
