Kashmir girl band Pragaash gives up after threats

Three female high-school students in India have had to disband a rock group they formed after only one concert - this after receiving threats.

Three teenagers founded Pragaash, the first all-girl rock band in Indian-administered Kashmir, in December.

It caused a backlash from internet users, who said it was inappropriate for them to front a rock band.

Since then, a government-backed cleric has issued a fatwa against the girls.

Kashmiri author Waheed Mirza, told the BBC's Mishal Husain the teenagers were "being used".
