Anti-US threat is made by North Korea on state TV

North Korea says it has given its armed forces final approval to launch strikes against the United States, including the possible use of nuclear weapons.

The announcement was made on North Korean state television.

In response, the US is sending a missile shield to the Pacific island of Guam.
