Bollywood actor-director Farhan Akhtar has launched a national campaign to promote women's rights in India.

The 'Men Against Racism and Discrimination' campaign aims to get Indian men to respect women at a time when the country is outraged over cases of brutal violence against women.

Mr Akhtar spoke to the BBC'S Rahul Tandon in Calcutta.
