Singapore explores smog legal options

Singapore's worst environment crisis continues to affect millions of residents as air pollution levels remain dangerously high.

Earlier this week a smog swept across the city state, caused by drifting smoke from fires on Indonesia's island of Sumatra.

Authorities there have named some of the firms responsible, including two companies have their headquarters in Singapore.

The Foreign Minister of Singapore, K Shanmugam, says he's exploring legal options.

Mariko Oi reports.
