India floods: Rescue effort to reach stranded pilgrims
Rescuers in northern India are desperately trying to reach thousands of people stranded in remote mountain areas following flash floods and landslides.
More than 550 people are known to have been killed in the floods which were triggered by torrential rains in the state of Uttarakhand.
Many of those stranded in the mountainous region are Hindu pilgrims visiting local shrines.
