Pakistan's PM Sharif: Afghanistan's Taliban talks must be 'Afghan-led'

Afghanistan's peace and reconciliation process must be "Afghan-owned and Afghan-led", Pakistan's prime minister has said.

Nawaz Sharif was speaking after a meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Islamabad, aimed at restarting a peace process between Afghanistan and the Taliban.

Pakistan has a high degree of influence with the insurgents who refuse to talk with Mr Karzai, dismissing him as a US puppet.
