Abbott: United with Indonesia on migrants

Australia's new PM Tony Abbott says he and the Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono are "united" on the issue of asylum seekers.

Mr Abbott is in Jakarta on his first foreign trip as Australian prime minister.

He said the Indonesian capital should be the first overseas port of call for incoming Australian PMs.

At a news conference after holding talks, the Liberal leader referred to Mr Yudhoyono as "bapak president," using the respectful Indonesian form of address.
