How is the weather affecting New South Wales bushfires?

Authorities in New South Wales have said the bushfires in the region are creating the most dangerous conditions in 40 years.

The warmest winter on record followed by the hottest September on record and half the normal amount of rainfall for spring has left the land tinder-dry.
