Australia bushfires: 'A difficult day in NSW'

Firefighters in in the Australian state of New South Wales are continuing to battle widespread bushfires, amid fears that several blazes could merge.

New South Wales has been badly hit by bushfires after the hottest September on record. It has declared a state of emergency.

Speaking to the BBC, NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell said Tuesday would be "a difficult day" with Wednesday "critical".
