Sri Lanka's President: 'We will act on human rights violations'
Sri Lanka's president Mahinda Rajapaksa has defended his government's human rights record on the eve of the Commonwealth Summit in Colombo.
President Rajapaksa said "If there are any (human rights) violations, we will take actions against anybody".
Sri Lanka has been criticised for its refusal to allow an independent inquiry into its treatment of Tamils at the end of the country's civil war in 2009.
