Typhoon Haiyan: Race to plant Philippines rice fields

Oxfam has started a cash for work programme in the Philippines, in a bid to speed up the country's recovery from Typhoon Haiyan.

It is offering payment to anyone willing to help clear rice fields for planting.

Oxfam spokesman Ian Bray told the BBC that preparing the fields is crucial in order to ensure farmers have a successful harvest.
