Indian tribe protects land from mining giant
A small tribe in eastern India has managed to prevent a British-Indian mining giant from exploiting the aluminium ore rich hills in which they live.
Campaigners hail it as a triumph for the rights of local people, but critics say India as a whole will pay the price as it grapples with a flagging economy.
India correspondent Andrew North travelled to the densely forested Niyamgiri hills in Orissa where the tribe lives.
