East Timor takes Australia to UN's highest court

Allegations of spying, phones bugged and documents seized - these are some elements of a case that is being heard in The Hague.

The small island of East Timor has taken Australia to the UN's highest court - the International Court of Justice - in a row that started with oil and gas but has taken a new twist.

It is the first time the ICJ has dealt with allegations involving espionage.
