Missing plane: Australia PM says 'credible' leads give hope

More planes have joined an increasingly international search of the southern Indian Ocean for missing flight MH370.

Australia is leading the search and said it was investigating sightings of a wooden pallet and other items.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the sightings were encouraging signs and gave "increasing hope".
