Missing flight MH370: Land and air search suspended

A land and air search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has been suspended, the Malaysian authorities have announced.

Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said the recovery effort had now entered a "transition phase, prioritising deep sea search".

The plane vanished on 8 March en route to Beijing, with 239 people on board.

No debris has been recovered, despite an extensive multi-national search operation.
