Thai military warns of crackdown if protests continue

Thailand's military rulers have warned of a crackdown if anti-coup protestors continue to defy their warnings.

General Prayuth Chan-ocha received royal endorsement on Monday for his takeover but refused to set out a timetable for elections.

After seizing power, gaining the King's approval is seen as vital legitimacy for an administration still finding its feet.
