Story based on real life gay penguins banned in Singapore

Singapore authorities have banned at least two books from public libraries as they feature same-sex couples.

And Tango Makes Three is based on the true story of Roy and Silo, a pair of male chinstrap penguins who hatched a chick at New York City's Central Park Zoo.

The book The White Swan Express mentions a lesbian couple.

Gay sex is illegal in Singapore and a recent gay rally drew an unprecedented backlash from religious groups.
