Thai surrogate baby Gammy: Australian parents 'wanted him'

An Australian couple have denied abandoning a baby born with Down's syndrome to a surrogate in Thailand.

David Farnell, a convicted sex offender, and his wife, Wendy, have insisted that the surrogate mother refused to give up the seven-month-old baby boy and have vowed to get him back.

An online campaign, external has raised $185,000 (£110,000) to help treat Gammy, who has a congenital heart condition and a lung infection as well as Down's syndrome.
