Joint Nobel Peace Prize winner pays tribute to Malala

Joint Nobel Peace Prize winner, Indian child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi, has paid tribute to Pakistani child education activist Malala Yousafzai.

Mr Satyarthi, 60, said he was pleased to be recognised alongside Malala, who he said he knew well.

The Nobel committee said Mr Satyarthi had maintained the tradition of Mahatma Gandhi and focused on the "grave exploitation of children for financial gain."
