Australia and China sign free trade deal

China's President Xi Jinping addressed the Australian parliament ahead of signing a free trade agreement between the two countries.

The deal has taken almost a decade to negotiate and will gradually open up markets worth billions of dollars to exporters and investors.

Australian dairy farmers, winemakers and other sectors are hoping to get tariff-free access to the huge Chinese market.

The deal is also expected to give China greater access for its investment projects across Australia.
