Gunmen 'opened fire indiscriminately' at Pakistan school

Taliban gunmen have attacked an army-run school in north-west Pakistan, killing several students and taking hundreds of hostages.

Health authorities in Peshawar say several people have been confirmed as dead, including children, a teacher and a guard.

The Pakistani army say a majority of the students and staff have been evacuated.
