Indonesian Navy: Poor weather conditions hamper search

Aircraft from Indonesia and Singapore have been searching for an AirAsia plane that went missing during a flight between the countries at around 06:20 local time (23:20 GMT).

Flight QZ8501 - carrying 162 people - had requested a "deviation" from the due to bad weather, AirAsia said.

The Indonesian Navy is taking part in the search - Spokesman Colonel Edwin said the operation was being hampered by poor visibility.
