Thirteen people killed in India building collapse

Thirteen people have been killed after a partially-completed building collapsed in northern India.

The victims are believed to be from the same family, and are said to include the building's owner and two children.

The three-storey building in Uttar Pradesh state was near completion when it fell on a family of weavers sleeping on the ground floor, police said.

Twelve people died at the scene and one in hospital, officials said.

Local police say the construction appeared to have been hurried.
