Students' mothers 'desperate' outside Myanmar court

In Myanmar, also known as Burma, 65 students and activists have appeared in court in connection with the violent end to a demonstration two weeks ago.

The protesters have each been charged on five counts and if convicted on all of them could face up to nine-and-a-half years in prison.

Last week Myanmar's president backed the police's handling of the crackdown in the town of Letpadan despite video showing them beating those they had arrested, and smashing up vehicles.

Jonah Fisher reports from outside the court.
