Kabul catwalk: Afghanistan's wannabe models

Dozens of aspiring models are being signed up in a new initiative aiming to bring more Afghan faces to the country's advertising and TV industry.

Young men and women of a new, style conscious generation are hoping to break into the profession, challenging the country's conservative values

The local production companies organising the event say that advertisers are looking abroad for talent because they can't find fresh faces in Afghanistan.

The would-be models were invited via social media for a casting event in one of Kabul's modern shopping malls.
