Painting a new city image in Karachi

Pakistan's port city of Karachi is known for violence and a high crime rate.

The turf wars between rival groups are reflected in the city's walls, usually spattered with political slogans and religious hate graffiti.

But now, a group of local people, students and artists are trying to change the look of the city and reclaim public space to promote a culture of tolerance.

Artist and academic Adeela Suleman leads the initiative, which is part of a civil society campaign called 'I Am Karachi'.
