How could MH370 wreckage have reached Reunion?

The piece of wreckage discovered washed up on Reunion is thought to be from a Boeing 777; MH370 is the only aircraft of that type to have disappeared over an ocean.

The fragment has been sent to Toulouse in France for investigation.
