Hiroshima atomic bomb survivor speaks out

Since the end of World War Two, Americans have been told that the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were necessary to end the war and that they saved thousands of lives.

Around 135,000 people are thought to have died in the immediate blast and aftermath. Keiko Ogura survived the bomb and has spoken out against this narrative of necessity.

The BBC's Rupert Wingfield-Hayes spoke to her as they toured an exhibition about the attack.
