MH370 debris: Ocean current mapping video 'consistent' with find

Ocean experts have said a video modelling ocean currents predicted that the wreckage of MH370 would be discovered near the remote French Indian Ocean island of Reunion.

The blue, black and red dots in the animation from Australian national science agency CSIRO, external simulate items blown by wind, ocean currents and waves.

The most recent drift modelling indicated that debris would most likely have moved west from the accident site towards Reunion.
