Traffic woes highlight Philippines' infrastructure issues

Gridlocked for much of the day, Manila's roads are symbolic of the significant infrastructure problems the Philippines faces.

Vast amounts of time are lost, and huge amounts of pollution generated, by the capital's stop-go traffic.

But despite that, commuters find a way to cope when road conditions are bumper-to-bumper.
