Battle for Helmand displaces thousands

Intense fighting in Afghanistan's Helmand province is driving thousands of people from their homes.

Most flee to the provincial capital Lashkar Gah which has been targeted by Taliban fighters for months.

The Afghan government has flown in special forces, repelling some of the attacks.

But the situation remains precarious in a province where UK forces were in charge of security until 2014.
