Philippines police chief says shooting 'not an act of terror'

The Philippines' police chief Ronald dela Ros said there was no indication the shooting incident at a casino and hotel complex in capital Manila in which at least 36 people were killed was related to terrorism.

The gunman is dead. It is believed he acted alone and was staging a robbery.
